Architect Brent Hart has spent the last five decades shaping Northern California’s residential landscape, designing and building the Hart House and more than 20 bespoke homes across the region; his work marries rigorous craft with a restrained modernism, responding to site, light, and local materials while honoring a quietly elegant aesthetic. Each project reflects Hart’s meticulous attention to proportion and detail—wood joinery, thoughtfully scaled windows, and seamless indoor-outdoor transitions—yielding houses that feel at once timeless and intimately of their place.
